I've decided to abandon my old program in favor of a completely new design! Looks like the easiest (and the fastest) way to accomplish fractal rendering to a flat surface is using a custom shader written in GLSL. It will eliminate the problems I've been having with zooming and panning and simplifies varying the level of detail. Plus the shader runs directly on the graphics card so its extremely fast! This method may even let me explore the fractals in real time! I'm excited, can you tell?
I'm going to try using a library for C# called OpenTK. Looks pretty powerful and that way I don't have to use JOGL or Java! (YAY!) But...first things first, I have to get through finals
